Let it Snow!

Late yesterday afternoon it started snowing here in Mt Juliet. By last night, our deck was covered! We decided since it was Avery's first real snow we should bundle her up and get some pictures. Ben helped her make her first snow angel. Don't worry, she has on a fleece sleeper and her snow suit so she stayed nice and toasty :) We woke up this morning to find it still snowing pretty steadily. Avery and I are looking forward to curling up in front of the fireplace today. Unfortunately, Ben is on his way to Jackson and won't be here to enjoy it!

Another Road Trip

Ben was working in Knoxville last Wednesday through Friday. So Avery and I headed to East Tennessee on Thursday afternoon. We arrived just in time to eat dinner with one of Ben's friends from high school who has five month old twin boys. Our poor server was a little overwhelmed when we told him we needed 3 high chairs :) Friday morning, we went to the Dogwood Arts Festival Home and Garden Show. Then it was off to Morristown to spend the weekend with my parents. Saturday night we watched our Vols knock off Memphis to take over the number one ranking! We all went to church Sunday morning and then to lunch at the country club before heading back to Nashvegas. It was such a fun trip. I am definitely going to miss being able to travel with Ben when I go back to work next week!

Bath Time Fun

Avery loves the water so bath time is becoming much more fun. She is starting to show some interest in her rubber ducky. And she is even kicking and splashing some. She'll be able to play with all those bath toys before we know it! Tucker has become jealous that Avery gets to take a bath every day. He has started jumping into the tub to "help" by trying to drink her bath water.

Susan's Visit

Since my sister Susan was off work for Presidents' Day, she came to Mt Juliet to see us for a few days. In true Wills girls fashion, we spent the entire weekend shopping. We attempted to teach Avery to say her first word..."shoes". She hasn't said it yet, but we'll keep you posted :) Avery also got a cool new pair of sunglasses thanks to her aunt Susan. Now all she needs is a teeny, tiny swimsuit and we'll be ready to hit the beach! Tucker and Piper had a blast chasing each other around the house all weekend. It will be so nice when we finish fencing in the backyard!!

Sleeping Like a Baby

We are celebrating today...Avery slept through the night last night! What a huge difference six straight hours of sleep makes! We are just praying that she continues sleeping so well. I was also excited to wake up this morning and see snow on the ground. It wasn't much, just enough to cover the roads and dust the grass. But we'll take whatever we can get here in middle TN :)

Cute Pictures

When I downloaded pictures from the camera last night, I found a couple of sweet pictures of Avery that I took while she was napping one morning.

Avery's New Bumbo

We bought Avery a Bumbo seat while we were at Target today. She's probably still a little young for it, but I couldn't resist. She looks so tiny sitting in that big seat! She wasn't so sure about it at first. Tucker even came to see what all the commotion was about. But we found her pacifier and tried again. She calmed down and was actually pretty content sitting up like a big girl!

Knoxville

Ben had meetings in Knoxville this week so Avery and I decided to tag along. We took her to meet Annie and Martha Ann Fulk then went to dinner with my parents. Mom volunteered to keep Avery while Dad, Ben and I watched UT beat Florida...again!

Starkville

The trip to Starkville took FOREVER...about 7 hours instead of the usual 4 1/2! It rained the entire way and we had to stop twice to feed Avery. So we were glad to finally arrive at the house and climb into bed. This was the first time Ben's parents were able to hold Avery since they had to leave so soon after she was born. Summer stayed with Avery Saturday night so we could get out for a couple of hours to watch UT play Mississippi State. Much to Ben's dismay, she called with only a couple of minutes left in the game to say that Avery was hungry. Luckily, we made it home in time to see the last few seconds on TV!
