Tiny Dancer

Lately, Avery has been facinated by anything with buttons she can push (i.e. the remote, computer keyboards, x-box controllers). So we brought the keyboard downstairs to distract her. We had high hopes that she would take to the piano. But we quickly discovered that she would much rather dance to the demo songs. Fair warning....the video is very shaky...watch at your own risk :)

Beach Videos

I was finally able to dowload a few videos from the beach. The first one is of Avery playing with the sand. The next two are of Allie swimming. We were quite impressed with her fearlessness in the pool! Enjoy....

On the Go

Avery is officially mobile. She has been wiggling around on her belly for a few weeks now. But this week, she took off crawling. She is definitely keeping us on our toes as she is already getting into everything!

Seven Months Old

Avery had her seven month birthday while we were at the beach. So we were a little late taking her seven month pictures. And we were even later posting her pics because we have had so much trouble with Blogger. This month she weighs 15 lbs 13 oz and is 25 3/4 inches long. Taking pictures continues to become more and more challenging. Especially since paper is now Avery's favorite new toy. The poor sign barely survived the photo session this month.

Family Portraits

Victoria and I both really wanted to have family portraits made on the beach. But we were not willing to pay the sitting fee for a professional photographer, so we decided to take our own pictures. It turned out to be a very windy night. And the little girls were not in a very cooperative mood. But we managed to get some good shots.

Beach Bums

The last week of July, we met the Hunters in Destin for a much needed vacation. We had a wonderful week relaxing on the beach. Avery loves to play the sand. Unfortunately, she also loves to eat the sand so we had to keep a close eye on her. She was a little unsure of the ocean, especially when we were standing in the surf. But she had a blast in the pool. I finally got brave enough to take her underwater again. It isn't her favorite thing to do but she didn't protest too much. After a week back in the real world, I think Ben and I are both ready for another vacation!
